 | Official BBS FAQ - Al Lawrence has taken on the roll as Team Leader for
the Official BBS FAQ. The BBS FAQ, while a valuable document, was sadly out of date, so we
are pleased to be able to provider this service to the BBS Community under the leadership
of Al Lawrence! |
 | Completed! Domain Name - Ed Koon
has registered our domain name! bbs-promotion.org will be our new home, just as soon as we
get some server issues resolved. |
 | Newsletter - CStone has taken on the task of producing a BBS Promotion
Team newsletter suitable for distribution by local sysops, and with space to attach a
local BBS list. |
 | Version 1, Completed! Future Sysop Info Pack Project - Tecno is working on an info pack for future
sysops. This pack is by sysops for future sysops to learn a few tricks of the trade. |
 | BPT and BPTNet Info Pack Project - Tom Lebens and ??? (Need a co-leader)
are working to create an info pack file that can be distributed to prospective team
members with information about the term, how to get connected to either our listserver,
our Fido echo (coming soon), or our QWK network (also part of this project). |
 | User Disk Project - Brian
Tafoya has taken on the task of creating a disk containing the software
essentials and documentation needed for a first time user to connect to a BBS. |
 | Completed! Fido Echo Project - Ed Koon is working to get BBS_PROMOTION added
to the backbone of Fido. |
 | Logo Project - Gary Brosius has started up a logo project. Let him know
if you want to be a part of his team. Gary has posted quite a few logos, so please check
them out and share your comments. |
 | Completed! Name - Ed Koon and Todd Cochrane combined efforts to
guide us through deciding on a name. We are now "officially" The BBS
Promotion Team. |
 | T-shirts/How-to Web Site - Tom Lebens will create T-shirts and work on a
How-to get into BBS'ing web site. He needs help on the How-to web site, particularly with
written text and other content, so if you want to join the How-to team, post a message to
the listserver or send e-mail to Tom. |
 | Your Project - If your project isn't listed, send e-mail to tom.lebens@fanciful.org. We try to keep these
pages up-to-date, but things move so fast around here, there are so many great ideas, and
so much energy, we often do not find out until the project is done that it was being
worked on! |
